Sending Us Your Files

Preparing your Files
Format: Your file must be either a PSD, TIFF, PDF, EPS, AI, or a .CDR.
Resolution: The resolution of your images must be at least 300 dpi at 50% of size. This only applies to bitmap images, not vector images.
Cropping : Please include crop marks. Please allow a ¼” for all bleeds.
Text & Line Weight: The thinner the lines or the finer the text used, the less chance there is of achieving good print results

Compress Your Files
Please compress your files using a compression method such as WinZip (PC) and Stuffit (Mac) before you upload them. It is a good idea to place all of the files you are uploading into one folder and to compress the whole folder. Remember the amount of time it will take to upload a large file is very dependent on the speed of your internet connection.
Online Direct File Transfer Smaller files (under 2 megabytes) may be uploaded by clicking here to open our file transfer page. After uploading, please send us your contact information along with the files name(s) that were uploaded so that we can propertly identify your files. Send an email to info@bcdisplays.com

**Note: in some cases your systems Firewall may prevent connections

Upload Using an FTP Client
The fasted method is to use an FTP client such as WS FTP (for Windows) or Fetch (for Macintosh) to upload your files. You must have one of these programs installed on your computer in order to use this method. You can download trial/shareware versions at www.downloads.com .

You will need a username and password to upload files to our secure FTP server. If you do not have a username and password, please contact us and a staff member will assign you one.

You will need the following information to connect:
Host or Server Name: ftp.bcdisplays.com
Username & Password: Assigned by BC Displays

You may drop files in the "root" directory that opens or you may create your own folder

**Note: in most cases "Passive" mode should be selected in the software options

Upload From Your Browser
If you are using Internet Explorer 4.x and up or Netscape 6.x and up and your computer is running a Windows operating system, you can connect to BC Display's secure FTP server from your browser's window. Just type ftp.bcdisplays.net into the address or location bar of your browser. You will be able to drag and drop your files into the browser window once you log in. They will be automatically uploaded. (Sorry, this will not work with browsers on a Macintosh.)
